We put up our tree last weekend... it is always such a beautiful and fun time for our family. We blasted the Christmas carols, drank hot chocolate and hung ornaments to our hearts content.
I love receiving happy mail. I spent some time perusing around Etsy recently and stumbled across this shop. I ordered a couple of items for some projects and when everything arrived it was all packaged so beautifully that I didn't even want to open it!
I settles for snapping a picture instead. : )
Dear Tim Horton's, twinning your drive-thru has made no-one's life any easier whatsoever. Just thought you should know.
Mama just wants her morning coffee.
That is all.
It took 5 hours of labor, over 100 vintage ornaments, an 18" wreath form and approximately a bazillion hot glue sticks but, this beauty is finally done.
I love her.
Buddy Bruce Charles Jingle Elf the Third made his first appearance at our house. We found him roasting marshmallows in our fireplace his first morning.

Someone got himself into the baker's twine in our craft room too.
Tuckered out from his adventure the night before, Buddy needed a little quiet time.
We found him under our living room lamp, engrossed in what seemed to be a very interesting book. ; )
Our craft room chalkboard. I try to change up the artwork on it every few days. This is one of my favorites and perfect for the upcoming holidays...

Someone got into the wrapping paper. Literally.
And finally, more happy mail. I am just so in love with everything over in Megan's shop. She had posted some new vintage atlases she had found on her Instagram feed awhile back. I was so in love with the first print I purchased from her that I asked if she had any maps of Canada that were going to be available...
She posted some pictures of one that she had and I just had to have it.
It arrived yesterday and I love it.
It is perfect.

Tonight we are heading to the cottage for the annual lighting of the town tree. We are going to sing carols, drink hot chocolate and do a little shopping at the holiday craft sale.
