It's been a busy week around here. Christmas preparations are in full swing. I sure do love this time of the year.
Today I'm linking up with Jeannett over at Life Rearranged and sharing some of the little moments from the past week. Though they may be small, boy do they make life grand. Enjoy!
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we are having with our elf, Buddy. Little Miss just loves finding him every morning before school. He is just so much fun to have around. I will miss him when he is gone.
It seems Buddy is a master of disguise... we found him on the windowsill one morning, 'blending in' with his surroundings.
On top of the tree...
...and boy did this little guy make a mess in our bathroom one day.
Little elves + toothpaste = a big mess for Mom to clean up!
We started our Christmas baking on the weekend. Not that I need one, but I usually enjoy any activity in which I have a legitimate excuse to wear my ruffly apron from Craft Weekend.
It is definitely the cutest accessory I own.
Our shortbread was delicious. Thankfully this year we planned ahead and made a double batch so that there will be enough left over for Christmas. : )
Buddy just lounging around...
... and a certain naughty little elf made yet another mess one night by opening us Little Miss's school bag and scattering all of her homework around the floor. Good thing he's cute or he would have been a whole lot of trouble!
I had a major, major score at the thrift store this week. I found not one, but two, absolutely gorgeous vintage quilts. They are in perfect condition. Not one thing wrong.
I nearly had a heart attack when I spotted them because I never, ever find gems like these at the thrift shops. Only at the antique store and they usually end up costing an arm and a leg.
I paid a grand total of $16 for both of them.
$7 for one and $9 for the other.
Booyah.
Someone held his own tree decorating party, complete with presents too!
All of Buddy's shenanigans from the week must have tuckered him out because we found him fast asleep on our mantel. He even brought his own little eye mask.
I guess even elves need their beauty sleep. : )

So there it is.
Our week in review.
Little snippets of our days. The things that make life wonderful.
I'm so glad I get to share them with you.
Happy Friday friends.
