Well... we did it.
We survived Christmas 2012.
It was close.
We were tidying and decorating right until the very minute our guests arrived, but we made it.
As much as I try every year to get everything done in time it just always seems as if there aren't enough hours in the day.
I still have Christmas crafts to do that will get done because they are just way to fun to wait for another year.
And we can pretty much just assume that no one is getting a holiday card from me this year either.
Whoops.
We hosted Christmas Eve dinner at our house this year.
Little Miss was so excited to show off her new Christmas dress, she spent a good part of the evening twirling around, showing off it's sparkly sparkle-ness!
She is the littlest member of the family and with so many grandparents and great-grandparents there is never any shortage of love and attention around here!
Christmas morning we slept in a little later (10:00!) and this might actually be the first year ever where I was woken up by someone other than Little Miss herself!
Santa certainly enjoyed the snacks Little Miss left out for him... he even responded to her always adorable Christmas Eve letter...
"Dear Santa, please enjoy some homemade cookies and milk. Please take good care of my elf Buddy Bruce Charles Jingle the Third. Though I must warn you, he is a bit of a trouble maker... you might want to brace yourself."
I kid you not.
This girl cracks me up.
We spent most of the morning exchanging and opening gifts.
It was all very mellow and relaxed... which was just perfect for us.
Little Miss was so excited to see what Santa brought her... a new iPad!
After we opened our gifts we all kind of just lazed around... I even took a nap!
That is unheard of in this house on Christmas but I am thinking I might need to make it a new tradition! Ha!
After we woke up, we spent the rest of Christmas day eating leftovers (of course!) and just relaxing and enjoying each others company.
Little Miss found her old Yo-yo (Umm... what happened to the brand new iPad?) and was showing off some of her skills while I sat on the couch and enjoyed a yummy cup of (much needed) coffee.
Spanking the baby...
All in all I'd say that this might just be one of my favorite Christmases yet.
Lots of family, lots of friends and most importantly, lots of love.

I hope your Christmas was filled with lots of love, goodness and all the joys of the season too.
Happy Thursday friends.
