Hello Friday...
We meet again.
Since a week (or two?) has passed (seriously, where does the time even go?) I am catching up and linking up with Jeannett over at Life Rearranged for her always awesome, always inspiring and always so much fun Insta-Friday linky party!
We experienced our first official blizzard of the season here last week. It was actually kind of nice to be 'snowed in' for a day or two. It was, however, not so nice when it came time to shovel the driveway. Fast forward 2 hours later and... well, at least one of us enjoyed it.
So. My vintage linen collection. I am stockpiling them. I have grand plans for these beauties... the loveliest of lovely pillows and walls of embroidery hoop art as far as the eye can see...
In the meantime, they are sitting pretty on my turquoise chair at the door to the craft room, bringing a smile to my face every time I pass through that door. (Ok, and also reminding me of that mile long to-do list that I am constantly adding to in my head.) Yup. They don't call me a dreamer for nothin'...
Just a wee little sneak peek at something uber-fabulous and super special that I have been working on for the last little while... can you guess what it is? I will give you a hint: it took way more time, ornaments and hot glue than I would care to admit. Note to self for future reference: an 18" wreath is actually a whole lot bigger than it looks. Also, buy more glue sticks.
When one hoards collects as many craft supplies as I do, organizing one's craft space is a must. By the time I was through, the craft room was sparkly clean and looked fantastic. For an entire 48 hours. Which, by the way, is a new personal best. Yeeeeesss.
Happy scraps just begging to be used to make more fabric wrapped bracelets. Seriously, we are obsessed. Soon my pretties, soon...
I spent most of my Saturday morning wrapped up under a quilt, drinking what is probably an unhealthy amount of coffee and pouring through the pages of Matthew Mead's Holiday magazine. It doesn't get much better than that.
My package from Sparrow Mercantile arrived and I literally squealed with delight... it was so pretty I didn't even want to open it!
Of course I did open it to find the sweet, hand stamped, vintage map print I had ordered. It is even prettier in person! I loved it so much that I already ordered a second one! Thank you Megan for being so awesome!
I, of course, did a little thrifting on the weekend (I try and try to resist, but the call of the thrift store is just too strong) and found some cute little items that will be used to decorate some of my holiday gifts. Once those gifts are actually bought and wrapped that is. Commence panic mode... now.
Another sweet weekend find. As if I was going to say no to this sweet little rainbow afghan that was only marked at a few dollars. No, no I would not. It is very happy now in it's new home... the craft room. : )
Little Miss and I got started on our holiday crafting this week... it was nice to just spend the night together in the craft room working on a project we both came up with. A little hard work, some scissors and some Mod Podge do wonders for a girl's soul y'know.
